Thousands of tiny gold threads, woven by hand in Varanasi, forming an all-over net of flowers and vines that seems to breathe as the fabric moves. This is jaalwork — one of the most intricate weaving traditions in Banarasi craft — and on pure Katan silk, it feels like wearing something that took someone weeks to make. Because it did.
